When it comes to safety, no part of your vehicle is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system and operating hardware.

While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction components (pads, shoes, rotors and drums) require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.

How can I tell when I need a brake service or brake repair?

  1. The brake pedal can be depressed nearly to the floor.

  2. You hear a squealing or other unusual noise when you apply the brakes. Some brands of brake pads have a built-in device that produces a high-pitched squeal when the brake pads need replacing.

  3. The vehicle pulls to one side when you apply the brakes.

  4. You feel a grinding or bumpy sensation as you come to a stop.

  5. In general, if there is something about your brakes that is making you uncomfortable, you should have them inspected.

  6. All of the parts we install are guaranteed to meet or exceed manufacturer’s standards. If you wish, we will return your old brake parts to you.

Today’s complex vehicle has numerous computers that manage all of the automotive systems. These computers often require that their software be updated to improve performance, reduce emissions, increase fuel economy, accept a new replacement part, address a check engine light complaint or as part of a technical service bulletin issued by the manufacturer.  Precision Tune Auto Care uses state of the art reprogramming systems and can verify if your vehicle’s computer software needs to be updated.

The steering and suspension system is necessary for proper vehicle stability, control, and safe handling.  Steering and suspension components, such as ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, struts and stabilizer links, just to name a few, are constantly subjected to continued stress caused by today’s harsh road conditions.  Having these components inspected regularly and replaced as needed assures your vehicle continues to operate safely and reliably.
